Remembering the days gone by where we played for hours with friends, in and outdoors, rain or shine? Making games up and building dens from old blankets, nothing was too crazy. The toys we had were well build and more often then not, without batteries.
We learned to play together, played role playing games, got dirty (and told off!) and genuinely had fun till we were told to sit down for dinner.
Life was one great adventure.
Let that be the focus for all kids, especially now a days where electronic gadgets seem to dominate. They do not teach values or how to interact. Press a button and it does it all for you, lights flashing, sound playing….
Children love simple things and who better to give things that last and are exciting to them and us, parents and grand-parents!
We owe it to them to grow up with the same fond memories we used to have and encourage discovery of unusual and timeless toys.
